Telling Stories Workshops For Teams
Telling Stories workshops use familiar stories and myths to explore team, relationship, and communication dynamics. They build team cohesion, creativity, and problem solving, while strengthening trust and communication.
-
We are hard-wired for stories. We recognise the hero, the villain, and the useful sidekick. We engage in the situation, delight in plot twists, gasp at the point of make-or-break, and release tension at the resolution. Our lives and our relationships are stories, even at work. We cast others in our stories, including in work teams. Telling Stories workshops provide the space and tools to understand the dynamics that may be hindering your teams, and those which could be harnessed.
-
Vertical or horizontal teams. Cross-functional or management groups. New project or product teams. Newly merged teams. Existing teams that have moved to new responsibilities or locations. Any group that needs to gel, reduce stress, and perform.
-
Telling Stories workshops involve presentation, facilitation, and activities. Some activities are individual, some in small groups, and some involve moving around and acting or public speaking in groups. Activities will engage an attitude of fun, exploration, and learning towards the serious topics of teamwork and productivity. We will explore different points of view, alternative endings, and finding hidden lessons. Exploration is both internal and external. Sharing individual learning with the group is optional.
-
Groups of 4 - 10 people, at your premises, or can be adapted for larger off-site meetings.
-
A half day Telling Stories workshop (3.5hrs including breaks) is $1,800.00 (plus GST).
Larger, off-site presentations are priced based on your specifications.
